We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our client's team in Henderson. They are looking for a Occupational Health Nurse to commence on the 22nd September until the 26th September and then the role will go to two days per week from the 29th September in an ongoing casual basis.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for conducting a range of occupational health assessments, including audiometry, drug and alcohol screening, spirometry, and pre-employment and periodic medicals. You’ll play a critical role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our workforce by identifying early signs of occupational illness and ensuring compliance with workplace health standards. This is a rewarding opportunity for a nurse with strong clinical skills and a passion for proactive health monitoring in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform audiometric and spirometry testing in accordance with occupational health standards.
- Conduct pre-employment medicals, fitness for work assessments, and periodic health checks.
- Administer drug and alcohol testing following company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide first aid and respond to workplace injuries or illnesses as they occur onsite.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health monitoring records and documentation.
- Manage and update health surveillance software, medical databases, and reporting systems.
To be successful in this role
- Strong administrative skills and proficiency in using health management systems, databases, and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Confidence in delivering clinical support, including responding to workplace injuries and emergency situations.
- A proactive approach to improving workflows and contributing to the ongoing development of a newly implemented occupational health program.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Spirometry Certificate
- Audiometric Competent
- Advanced Life Support (ALS1/ALS2)
- HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
- WA Valid Manual Class C Drivers Licence
- AHPRA Registration
- Intravenous Cannulation
