About the role
Longwarry Twinklekids Early Learning Centre is seeking a part-time Childcare Cook to join our team in Longwarry, VIC. As our Childcare Cook, you will be responsible for preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the children in our care, ensuring they receive the necessary nourishment to support their growth and development.
What you'll be doing
* Plan, prepare and cook a variety of balanced meals and snacks for children of all ages
* Ensure all meals adhere to dietary requirements and allergies
* Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
* Inventory and order supplies as needed to keep the kitchen well-stocked
* Assist with setting up and packing away meal times
* Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a cook or chef, ideally in a childcare or similar setting
* Knowledge of nutrition, food preparation, and meal planning for children
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Food safety and handling certification
* Passion for providing high-quality childcare
