Opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join a key cost recovery review project within a Queensland Government division. This role requires a finance professional who can deliver high-quality reporting, strategic financial support, and stakeholder-focused service in a fast-paced, executive environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily financial operations, including journals, reconciliations, and month/year-end processes Support annual budget development and phasing in the financial system Provide timely and accurate financial information to senior stakeholders Contribute to project analysis and prepare clear, concise briefing notes and business cases Ensure compliance with legislation, Australian Accounting Standards, and departmental frameworks Foster strong working relationships across business areas to support effective financial management About You: Strong management accounting experience, ideally within government or large organisations Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial data and provide strategic insights Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or commerce (preferred) Familiarity with public sector financial management frameworks (e.g., FMPM) is advantageous Submit your resume with a short cover note highlighting your relevant experience.
