About the opportunity
The Senior Project Engineer is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and profitable delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead project planning and programming, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and company standards
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits
* Monitor budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reporting
* Identify and manage variations, extensions of time, and contractual claimsSupervise and mentor Project, Site, and Graduate Engineers
About you
As a Senior Project Engineer, your role isn't just managing tasks, you're commercially minded and a technical expert ensuring every civil construction project is delivered safely and efficiently.
To be considered for this role
* Hold a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
* Have a minimum of 5 years civil construction experience
* Have the ability to lead engineering and operational site based teams
* Have excellent written and oral communication
* Ideally have experience with Tasmania-based clients (e.g., TasWater, DSG, TasPorts, TasRail)
