Permanent Part-Time Position (four days per week, six hours per day)
Ravenswood is a Uniting Church K-12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. Qualifications
* Diploma of Library/Information Services or Certificate IV in Library/ Information Services or equivalent
* Experience working in a school or similar library environment
* A love of reading and working with children
* A flexible approach to daily tasks while having the ability to prioritise
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with girls from K-12.
* Positively impacts collaborative team-building processes within the Learning Resources team.
* A duty of care for students safety and wellbeing, including before and after school hours following school protocols regarding student supervision and safety.
* To demonstrate confidence in using library management systems in particular, Infiniti, Office 365, SORA, SCIS and digital technologies.
* Current Working with Children Check
* Able to follow through tasks to conclusion

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver friendly professional reader advisory and circulation services
* Collaborate with library teaching and school staff to supervise students and maintain a safe inclusive and welcoming environment
* Undertake cataloguing ordering accessioning and processing of resources
* Maintain the library collection including shelving repairs stocktake and weeding
* Attend to library administration, including reservations, overdues and reporting
* Support access to print and digital resources including library systems databases and online platforms
* Support Teacher Librarians with the preparation and delivery of learning resources and programs
* Contribute to displays promotions and events that encourage reading and Engagement
* Adhere to and participate in the development of Learning Resources policies, procedures and services
* Attend and participate wherever possible in all Library and general staff meetings.
Additional Information
Weekly workdays are scheduled annually to align with the teaching timetables. The Learning Resource Centre remains open during the three holiday periods from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and is closed from the end of Term 4 until the beginning of Term 1.
