Our client is a publicly listed global manufacturing organisation with a significant presence in the ANZ market. As part of their drive towards a best in class supply chain function, an amazing opportunity has arisen for a logistics professional in the capacity of 'Distribution Centre Team Manager' for their AM Shift, 6am - 2pm.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager and leading a large team through the AM Shift, the 'Distribution Centre Team Manager' is responsible for the operational, safety and commercial performance of a large, high volume, omni-channel distribution centre, driving operational efficiency and improving customer service levels. In this critical supply chain position your key accountability will also include:
* Working collaboratively with a number of internal functions and external stakeholders to ensure service levels, inventory targets and resource planning is optimised.
* Ensuring that standard operating procedures on site are aligned to broader business strategies around safety, service and commercial objectives.
* Driving supply chain projects, continuous improvement initiatives and identifying systems and automation opportunities that may be benefited from.
* Ensuring that the broader national distribution network is supported by sound performance in what is a critical distribution centre operation.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be a logistics professional with a demonstrated track record of success in either the manufacturing or consumer goods industries. You will have experience leading a large team in a Distribution Centre or Warehouse environment, improving performance and customer service levels. Ideally tertiary qualified in a relevant field, you will also possess first class interpersonal and demonstrated influencing abilities.
