About the role
We're seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join us in a casual role, working closely with our senior Bookkeeper on one of our major real estate clients located in Edge Hill.
The role will start at approximately 5-10 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase hours over time. You'll be trained across the full workflow so you can confidently manage tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities
Trust Accounting
* Trust account receipting
* Preparing bank reconciliations
* Processing bond lodgements and refunds
* Entering supplier invoices
* Liaising with suppliers and Property Managers
* Processing mid-month and end of month owner and supplier payments
* Preparing trust account reports
* Maintaining accurate audit records and ensuring compliance
General Business Bookkeeping
* Preparing bank and credit card reconciliations
* Processing supplier payments
* Processing sales deposits and settlements
* Liaising with the sales team
* Payroll processing, including superannuation
* Assisting with quarterly BAS preparation
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in accounting or bookkeeping
* Experience in a similar role, ideally within real estate
* Advanced computer skills (PropertyMe and MYOB desirable)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Please include
