Make a difference as an Underwriter, Personal Lines.
Your Role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Underwriter – Personal Lines to join our Retail Insurance Australia (RIA) Underwriting Support team .
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering a seamless and efficient customer experience by making timely, effective underwriting decisions. Your contribution will help ensure our retail customers receive the high-quality service they expect and deserve.
What You'll Do
* Support the Customer Delivery team by managing underwriting exceptions and some complex cases
* Handle Claims Centre referrals, fraud investigations, and customer relations queries—including Statutory Declarations
* Use your knowledge of underwriting practices and products to make complex decisions and assess trends or escalations (including those related to natural disasters)
* Collaborate across teams to support initiatives that drive continuous improvement
* Share your expertise to help improve underwriting processes and contribute to broader business goals
This role can be based in any of our Sydney, Melbourne, or Adelaide offices.

About You
We are looking for someone who is agile and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will also demonstrate:
* Underwriting experience with Level B Delegated Underwriting Authority License or actively working towards this Licence in the last 6-8 months
* Demonstrated excellent stakeholder management skills
* Good analytical skills
* Organized and professional with an ability to perform several tasks simultaneously
* Strong written and verbal communication skill
