**Position Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Advise students on selected course requirements;
- Provide assistance to students with academic enquiries - course structure /unit offerings etc;
- Coordinate the preparation of student letter of offer for completion; references and immigration purposes;
- Manage the co-ordination of mid-semester and final exams;
- Arrange and assist exam invigilators where required;
- Manage and process Academic Misconduct Register;
- Manage the exam misconduct cases and subsequent hearings and communicate with students;
- Assist with the training of enrolment staff and student mentors;
- Support the Student Support Manager in ensuring compliance with SCI policies and procedures
- Assist the Academic Director in the coordination of the enrolment process;
- Coordinate and manage the new students' orientation program;
- Construct an up-to-date textbook list for each semester;
- To coordinate with the SCI Library to ensure a sufficient number of each of the required textbooks is available for students;
- Order and distribute desk copies each semester;
- Support the class monitoring process to ensure they are taking place in accordance with the timetable and keep records of any changes;
- Check accuracy of casual academic staff time sheets;
- Regularly update the Institute's Staff Handbook with current policies and procedures and other student resources;
- Provide general administrative support as required
**Selection Criteria**
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (or higher);
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in student support or a related role within a higher education institution;
- Knowledge of the ESOS Framework and the National Code 2018. If you do not currently have knowledge of ESOS Framework and the National Code, you must be willing to acquire the required knowledge.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work with minimum supervision;
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills;
- High levels of initiative and problem-solving skills;
- Experience in academic administration in the tertiary education sector;
- Experience in working with international students;
- Fluency in a second language.
