We are seeking highly motivated and experienced ETF Operations professionals to join our dynamic team in Sydney, Australia. This critical Vice President level role (Internal Job Title: Fund Accounting Sr Manager - C13) requires a candidate who will contribute significantly to the monitoring, management, and enhancement of our Exchange Traded Fund operational processes, overseeing the end‐to‐end lifecycle of our ETF products and ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness across our Service offerings.
While direct ETF Operations experience is strongly preferred, candidates with robust fund accounting experience who possess a foundational understanding of ETF mechanics are encouraged to apply and demonstrate a keen interest and aptitude to transition into specialized ETF operations.
This is a full‐time position based in Sydney, Australia.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage all daily ETF operational activities, ensuring smooth, efficient functioning and adherence to global best practices.
* Conduct thorough reviews of ETF operational activities to guarantee consistent delivery of services with high standards of accuracy and timeliness, strictly adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Manage daily task allocation for the ETF Operations team, ensuring adequate resource distribution and real‐time monitoring of task completion status.
* Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding ETF operational inquiries, effectively managing expectations and delivering timely, accurate resolutions.
* Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including fund managers, authorized participants, internal product teams, and technology partners, influencing outcomes and driving operational excellence.
* Actively participate in ETF fund launches, reviewing critical documentation such as Operating Guidelines, authorized participant agreements, and fund prospectuses, performing system setups and testing sample reports, and ensuring smooth and successful launches in accordance with project plans.
* Participate in change requests and ad‐hoc projects, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements and offering solutions that align with product offerings and strategic objectives.
* Assist with audit‐related requests and queries from internal audit and external SOC audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
* Proactively ensure the timely escalation of all production issues, maintaining strict adherence to Citi's operational policies and procedures, conducting comprehensive issue analysis, documentation, management reporting, and impact assessments to inform resolution strategies and minimize business disruption.
* Drive initiatives for risk mitigation, implement robust control frameworks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements within ETF operations.
* Participate in technology enhancements by providing input for operational efficiencies, addressing production issues, and contributing to new functionalities development.
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 10+ years of relevant ETF Operations or fund services experience.
* In‐depth knowledge of ETF operations (PCF, order management, settlement) and an understanding of fund accounting, listed registry, custody, and corporate actions.
* Experience with project management, change initiatives, and system enhancements.
* Exceptional analytical and problem‐solving abilities, including root‐cause analysis and effective exception management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with a proven ability to articulate complex issues and influence stakeholders.
* Strong organizational, time‐management, and multitasking skills for a fast‐paced, dynamic environment.
Education
* Related bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in finance, business, or a related field.
