Requirements | Who We Are Looking For
* Academic Excellence & Proven Results: A score of 90+ in your specialized subjects is highly preferred (85+ will be considered). We have a strong preference for candidates with firsthand experience or a deep understanding of the University of Melbourne (Trinity College), Monash Foundation/Diploma programs, or other recognized Pathway and Diploma frameworks.
* Teaching & Communication: Demonstrated understanding of pathway program curricula and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning styles. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
* The "Beacon" Mindset: We value tutors who are organized, reliable, and genuinely passionate about education. You should be a "long-termist" who invests time in crafting tailored lesson plans and high-quality courseware (PowerPoint, PDF).
* Compliance & Tools: Proficient in using Office applications and Zoom for teaching. You must hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or VIT registration (or be willing to obtain one upon appointment).
* Availability: A commitment of at least 6 teaching hours per week.
Responsibilities | Your Role
* Instruction (One-on-One & Group Classes):Conduct professional tutoring sessions for Foundation and Diploma students. Deliver engaging lessons tailored to students' needs to foster academic growth and confidence.
* Lesson Preparation :Prepare teaching materials and lesson plans aligned with specific course requirements and exam standards. Develop high-quality resources (PowerPoint, PDFs) to ensure effective learning outcomes.
* Academic Research & Training: Actively participate in teaching research, workshops, and training sessions. Collaborate with the team to refine curriculum standards and stay updated on the latest academic requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Subcontract, Casual
Pay: $35.00 – $300.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
