Farmdale Mangrove Mountain is a Poultry Egg farm located in Mangrove Mountain on the Central Coast NSW
We are seeking a new Farm Manager to join our team.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated, hands on and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our poultry farm. You will be responsible for all aspects of the farm management, including livestock care, equipment maintenance, and staff supervision.
Candidates must hold valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
This role suits someone passionate about agriculture, proactive in problem-solving, and committed to continuous improvement and animal welfare.
About the Role
As an integral part of the farming team, you will:
· Be actively involved in hands-on livestock management
· Work a rotating roster including after hours and weekend duties
· Lead and support farm staff
· Ensure high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety.
Responsibilities of this position will include
· Day to day management of the farm, including animal welfare/husbandry and staff management
· Supervisor general farm activities such as upkeep on barns, sheds and other farm infrastructure
· Administration and reporting on farm operations and flock performance
· Monitor and maintained flock health and welfare, ensuring comprehensive biosecurity and disease‐management strategies to reduce operational risks
· Maintaining OHS and QA programs
· Maintaining biosecurity and quarantine to the highest standards on farm
· General repairs & maintenance of operating machinery.
· Manage daily feeding routines, egg collection and storage, and the administration of vaccinations and medications.
· Provide hands-on training and guidance to workers on farm procedures and conduct inductions to new staff, visitors and contractors
· Responsible for creating and maintaining staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage and within budget.
You will meet the following criteria
· Have a minimum of 5 years work experience working as a Poultry Farm Manager, Poultry Farm Assistant Manager or similar
· Demonstrate relevant agricultural experience with a strong understanding of farming operations
· Demonstrate strong degree of mechanical aptitude, team orientation, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude
· Possess strong computer literacy
· Be capable of working independently with high accountability
· Be committed to providing sustainable livestock management practices
· Demonstrate a sound understanding and ability to implement OH&S practices
