Our facility is designed using the household model of care. This fosters a warm, family-like atmosphere where we strive to ensure every resident feels at home. We have single rooms, and our facility is currently undergoing a room refurbishment to ensure our facilities are modernised. Position Overview: As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: •You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life •Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility •Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and •Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities. Qualifications & Experience: •Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent qualification. •Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care, or if you have a passion to begin your career in aged care, currently studying or have recently become qualified. •Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold. •Provide a culturally safe and inclusive work environment. •Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required. •A genuine passion for elderly care, empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
