Job Description:
You will be working with our Out of Home Care (OOHC) program, supporting children and young people in foster care. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires empathy and a passion for making a positive difference in their lives.
Responsibilities:
* Providing support to children and young people in foster care
* Planning and participating in activities with the child or young person
* Transporting children and young people as required
* Supervising family contact sessions
* Collaborating with other professionals to advocate for the best interests of the child or young person
* Assisting with care plans and behaviour management
* Completing required documentation for operational compliance
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children and young people
- A certificate in Human Services or a similar relevant field
- A current First Aid Certificate
- Confidence and ability to deal with difficult situations
- Training / experience in child abuse / trauma related behaviours, youth Mental Health and similar
- Availability during weekdays, afternoons and evenings (with some weekend work)
