Job Title: Palliative Care Specialist



Job Description:



* Palliative care specialists lead and transform care at local hospitals and in the community.
* They empower patients, support families, and shape the future of palliative care locally.




Key Responsibilities:


As a Palliative Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care that improves patient comfort, enhances continuity, and increases timely access to specialist support.


* Developing and implementing advanced, evidence-based palliative care models within an extended scope of practice.
* Providing expert clinical advice and guidance to healthcare teams on palliative care principles and practices.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a coordinated and seamless model of care.
* Leading education and training initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals in palliative care.



Required Skills and Qualifications:



* Current registration as a registered nurse with AHPRA and current endorsement as a nurse practitioner or transitional nurse practitioner.
* Postgraduate qualification in palliative care or evidence of working towards attainment with at least 5 years full-time post-registration experience.
