Job Description:
This role is responsible for the assessment and management of vegetation within the council's area. The successful candidate will work closely with other teams to maintain the green leafy image of Knox City while providing appropriate development outcomes.
The key responsibilities of this role include assessing impacts of proposed developments on existing vegetation, assessing applications for removal/pruning of trees and vegetation, and assessing landscape plans to provide guidance to the statutory planning team and the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated knowledge in arboricultural assessment of vegetation.
* Ability to identify vegetation, including species native to Victoria.
* Understanding of landscape design and review of plans and associated documentation.
* Ability to read and understand plans.
* A proven ability to provide a high level of customer service.
* Well-developed skills in time management, setting priorities, planning and organising work to meet objectives and deadlines.
