We are seeking Site Surveyors and Survey Technicians to fill roles on civil infrastructure projects in Townsville. These include subdivisions, road construction, detail surveys, cadastral
The position would ideally suit someone with at least 2 years' experience in civil construction - preferably surveying background but not essential. The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time basis. On the job training will be provided.
Start immediately - Position best suited to a local candidate or prepared to relocate to Townsville.
Essential Criteria:
* Australian citizenship required
* Minimum 2 years' experience in civil construction site
* Strong commitment to safety
* Energetic and enthusiastic work ethic
* Positive attitude
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Hold a valid Driver Licence (C class)
* Respect for surveying equipment
* Show initiative to learn and progress your career
Roles and Responsibilities
* Data collection and management
* Setout and as-constructed surveys of civil, engineering construction works.
* End of month quantity surveys and calculations for client progress claims
* Fly drone for aerial data capture
* Operate 3d laser scanner
* Carry out control surveys using a variety of techniques including digital levelling, total station, RTK & Static GNSS methods
Desired Criteria:
* Demonstrated experience in construction surveying
* Diploma or Degree in Surveying (Or studying)
* Highly proficient with 12d Model
* Competent with Trimble GPS and Robotic Total Stations
* Competent with Trimble Business Center
* Competent with Photogrammetry, lidar and point cloud processing
* Registered or willing to take on training to obtain registration with SBQ
* Experience with machine control file management and troubleshooting
* RePL drone licence
