Academic Position in Urban Studies
The Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning is seeking an expert in Urbanism to join its dynamic team. You will collaborate with world-class researchers and teachers, delivering innovative research and teaching in the field of Urbanism.
The Discipline of Urbanism focuses on the design, characteristics, and processes of urban environments. We adopt a holistic approach to theory, policy, and design, creating better cities through strong research concentrations in housing, smart cities, and place.
* Develop and teach units in the urbanism discipline
* Maintain a research contribution to urbanism
* Contribute to the governance of the discipline, School, and University
Required qualifications include:
* A completed PhD in Urban Planning or cognate disciplines
* Demonstrated track record of teaching and peer-reviewed research publications in Urban Planning and wider urban studies
* Evidence of excellence in teaching across diverse modes of teaching
* Establishing industry connections
This role requires unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
