Location: NSW | Sector: Private Family / Family Office Reporting to: Manager of Finance & Operations The Opportunity A NSW-based family is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to support their Australian operations. This is a hands-on role responsible for day-to-day accounting, accurate financial reporting, and the effective management of financial resources. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, improving processes, and providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a high level of discretion. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage cash flow, reconciliations, and general ledger activities Manage the accounting close process, ensuring all assets, liabilities, and net worth are accurately recorded Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy across financial processes Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Manager of Finance & Operations Support ad hoc projects and requests as required About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A Business or Commerce degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CA or CPA qualification Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting Strong month-end accounting experience Experience preparing GST, FBT, and payroll tax returns Exposure to agriculture or real estate operations (desirable) Experience with accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities A high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
