Research Position in Dynamical Systems
Monash University is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to contribute to our cutting-edge mathematical research in the Faculty of Science.
Main Responsibilities:
* Investigate the number and behavior of limit cycles in planar polynomial vector fields, and/or exploring relative equilibria in gravitational systems.
* Advance both theoretical and computational methods and play an integral role in shaping the direction of this two-year research agenda.
This position involves contributing to a research project addressing two major open problems in mathematics: Hilbert's 16th problem and the n-body problem.
Requirements:
* PhD degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics or Physics.
* Strong background in dynamical systems theory and computational methods.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Benefits:
* Opportunity to work on a high-profile research project.
* Collaborative and dynamic research environment.
* Professional development opportunities.
