We are seeking an experienced full-time Truck Driver to join our team of drivers at
Coastwide Express Pty Ltd, based at Shepparton East, 3631 Victoria.
:
-Drive and operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials, locally
and interstate.
Operate and drive flatbeds, refrigerators, and dry van trailers to transport goods and materials over long distances as a two-up team and single.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes, considering traffic, road conditions, and
delivery schedules.
Positioning the vehicle accurately for efficient loading and unloading
Utilising lifting and tipping equipment to load and unload cargo from the vehicle,
Ensuring proper handling and securement to prevent damage or loss.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking for mechanical
issues and ensuring roadworthiness.
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on inter-state routes
Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
Assess cargo weights to ensure compliance with load limits and maintain proper weight distribution for safe transport.
Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods while adhering to strict schedules and
deadlines
Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices,
policies, and processes always.
Complying with all road safety regulations, including fatigue management rules and load restraint requirements.
Complete and verify paperwork with accuracy.
Maintaining accurate records, including delivery manifests, fuel logs, and other documentation required for regulatory compliance.
Comply with all laws and legislation regarding trucks as well as comply with Allens
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading
skilled publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in
professional organisations.
Position Requirements:
Certificate II or III in the relevant field
At least one (1) year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
Ability to lift 80 pounds repeatedly throughout day
Clean driving record.

Pay: $77,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
