The Opportunity
We are currently seeking passionate industry professionals for Junior Sous Chef roles to assist in the execution of Massimo Meleâs menu, which brings Italian cuisine to life with a distinctly Tasmanian twist.
Our menu follows a produce-driven philosophy - simple, uncomplicated, and seasonally evolving - showcasing quality ingredients where local Tasmanian produce is the hero.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous experience working as a Junior Sous Chef
* A formal Chef trade qualification
* Proven ability to inspire and motivate a team, leading by example
* Experience building strong relationships with producers and ensuring high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients
* Impeccable attention to detail
* A proactive mindset with the confidence to take initiative and make sound business decisions
* Drive, creativity, and a genuine passion for cooking, paired with a strong customer service focus
* Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and industry best practices, with a growth mindset
* Commitment, reliability, and flexibility to work late nights and weekends as required
* The physical capacity to perform the inherent requirements of the role
