We are seeking an experienced Network Systems Administrator based in Sydney - Macquarie Park.

About the Role
As a Network Systems Administrator, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimising our customers' IT environments across on‑prem and cloud platforms. You'll manage second and third‑level support requests, deliver proactive maintenance, contribute to technical documentation, and play a key role in customer success and project delivery.
You'll work with a wide range of technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, VMware, networking, security, and backup solutions.
What You'll Do
Reactive IT Support
* Resolve Level 2–3 system and network infrastructure issues
* Support Windows Server, Exchange, Office 365, Intune, Azure and SQL
* Troubleshoot virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V)
* Support VPN, Remote Desktop Services, Citrix, and other access systems
* Manage WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls and security incidents
* Work with carriers to resolve telco issues
* Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams
Proactive IT Maintenance
* Perform scheduled maintenance, patches and firmware updates
* Improve system performance, availability, and standardisation
* Leverage automation and RMM tools (N‑Central preferred)
Documentation & Knowledgebase
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client documentation
* Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical best‑practice
* Create guides and training materials for teams and clients
Project & Collaboration
* Assist with project deployments and scopes of work
* Collaborate with Customer Success and Account Management
* Communicate technical information to non‑technical stakeholders
What You Bring
* 3+ years of IT technical experience
* Strong background in Windows Server administration
* Broad Microsoft ecosystem experience (Exchange, Office 365, AD, Azure)
* Experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware preferred)
* Practical knowledge of backup/DR platforms (Datto, StorageCraft, Azure Backup)
* Exposure to Citrix XenApp or Remote Desktop Services
* Experience with RMM platforms (N‑Central, Kaseya, Labtech etc.)
* Networking fundamentals: WAN/LAN, routers, firewalls, security
* Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and customer-facing
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organised and meet deadlines
Bonus Points (Highly Regarded):
* Microsoft certifications (MS‑102, AZ‑104, M365 Administrator Expert)
* Experience in MSP/managed services environments
