Job Description
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality products, meeting commercial requirements, and driving innovative solutions. Key activities include engineering and production support, product design using AutoCAD, procurement coordination, and collaboration with clients, factories, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality products and meet commercial requirements through effective engineering and production support.
* Design and engineer products using AutoCAD, coordinating procurement of new tooling and components as needed.
* Perform calculations, design reviews, and create new product drawings in liaison with the Design Engineer.
* Develop daily production schedules for manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
* Tertiary education in Engineering is essential.
* CAD capability is advantageous.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook is required.

Additional responsibilities:
1. Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation management.
2. Provide technical advice and assistance to Business Development teams.
3. Assist in identifying contract variations and initiate reporting to clients.
4. Maintain turnaround production systems to ensure site and head office tasks are closed out.
5. Promote safe working practices throughout the business.
6. IDentify individual and team training needs and recommend training objectives.
7. Manage priorities of the Turnout Supervisor and maintain consistent communication links between head office and site.
8. Engage with production workers on-site and respond to problems/ideas proactively.
9. Drive commitment to quality top-down and bottom-up.
10. Investigate and report non-conforming products and processes, implementing corrective action.
11. Undertake turnout quality audits.
12. Conduct root cause investigations for internal and client-driven NCR's.
13. Develop inspection and test plan documentation for new tooling.
14. Close out jobs and monitor progress against budgets.
15. Review and update baseline costs used in estimating regularly.
16. Source multiple quotes for special components, fastenings, tooling, labor, testing, freight, and/or modifications to secure best pricing.
17. Investigate alternative suppliers for items such as tooling, special components, freight etc. to establish market-leading cost rates.
