Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join the team at our rapid paced Fulfilment Center (FC) for Night Shift.
The shift pattern is based on business need, and rotates every 6 months from Wednesday to Saturday | Sunday to Wednesday (10 hour shifts, 4 days per week).
Key job responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site
- Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out
- React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager
- Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers
- Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians
Basic Qualifications
- Formal Trade Qualification: Served a full Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering qualified to a minimum of Certificate III
- Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
- Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings
- Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
- Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations
