About BRAMS

Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is a leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that has supported the Broome community for more than 40 years. Based in Broome, WA, BRAMS delivers culturally safe primary healthcare, aged care, mental health and community services to Aboriginal people across the Kimberley region.

Role Summary

BRAMS is seeking Male and Female Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Workers to join the team in Broome, WA. Reporting to the Mental Health Manager, you will provide culturally safe, strengths‐based support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men or women, helping improve wellbeing, healing and community connection.

Responsibilities

* Deliver case management and wellbeing support
* Conduct holistic assessments and care planning
* Facilitate gender‐specific yarning circles and group sessions
* Support mental health education and help‐seeking
* Collaborate with social workers, family violence practitioners and community services
* Maintain accurate case notes and referrals

Qualifications

* Must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA)).
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Counselling, Mental Health or a related field.
* Experience working within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations is highly regarded.
* Knowledge of trauma‐informed care, SEWB principles and community engagement.
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills.
* Familiarity with service networks and supports in the Kimberley region.
