Job Description
This is a compelling opportunity for a senior governance / risk lawyer seeking to move in-house into our General Counsel and Risk Department, ideally based in Sydney but may be based in any of our other Australian offices in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane.
The role will report directly to our General Counsel & Company Secretary and act as her second-in-command in the legal function. The Legal Risk & Compliance Manager will work as part of the global team and will be responsible for supporting the GC & CoSec in providing a range of legal and compliance services to us and our lawyers.
Main features of this role include overseeing our responses to claims and complaints, managing our business acceptance processes including conflicts clearance, and managing a team of 5.
One of your first priorities would be overseeing our response to the forthcoming anti-money laundering legislation, so experience in AML/CTF would be an advantage that would allow you to hit the ground running.
You will also provide training for all staff on risk issues and provide advice in relation to our contractual arrangements.
