LBW Business + Wealth Advisors is seeking a Senior SMSF Accountant to join our growing Superannuation team. In this role, you'll support our SMSF clients by managing full‐service accounting and compliance requirements, while contributing to the capability and success of our team.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Senior SMSF Accountant, you'll be responsible for delivering high‐level service across all stages of SMSF accounting, including:
* Preparing detailed working papers including investment, income, and CGT reconciliations
* Updating and maintaining fund accounting records and ATO activity statements (quarterly and annual)
* Preparing funds for audit, including reviewing pre‐tax reports, tax and regulatory returns, and year‐end documentation
* Liaising with investment providers, share registries and fund managers as required
* Managing pension and benefit payments, including trustee minutes, PAYG summaries, and annual pension calculations
* Coordinating with Actuaries for pension certificates
* Producing compliance documentation and managing lodgement of approved reports and regulatory returns
* Acting as a key point of contact for auditors and assisting with regulator enquiries
* Identifying process‐improvement opportunities and recommending enhancements within the SMSF division
* Mentoring junior staff and supporting their technical development and workflow capability
* Actively participating in training, professional development, and internal knowledge sharing
What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
* 3+ years' experience in an accounting firm, ideally with SMSF exposure
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (required)
* CA/CPA qualified or working toward qualification (preferred)
* Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and industry‐relevant software
Skills & Attributes

* Proven attention to detail and high accuracy in work output
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Sound research, analytical, and problem‐solving capabilities
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
