Level 3 Support Engineer (Network & Security Focus) – Brisbane / Sunshine Coast | Hybrid
We are working with a growing Australian technology consultancy as they expand their Managed Services team across Queensland.
This is an opportunity for a senior, hands-on engineer to step into a Level 3 role with a strong focus on networking, security, and complex client environments.
The Role
You will act as a senior escalation point across a diverse client base, working on complex incidents while also contributing to ongoing improvements and project work.
This is not a purely reactive support role. You will be expected to take ownership of issues end-to-end, engage with clients, and contribute to the improvement of customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the final escalation point for complex technical issues
* Troubleshoot across networking, firewall, and infrastructure environments
* Support and optimise Fortinet, SD-WAN, and secure WAN environments
* Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
* Work across Microsoft 365, Azure, and server infrastructure
* Contribute to projects, migrations, and system improvements
* Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 engineers
* Engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders
Skills and Experience
* Experience in a Level 3 Support or Senior Network/Infrastructure role
* Background in an MSP, managed services, or multi-client environment
* Strong networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, DHCP)
* Experience with firewalls (Fortinet highly regarded)
* Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to take ownership of issues
* Confident communication skills and client-facing experience
* Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Fortinet NSE4
* Experience with SD-WAN or secure WAN environments
* Exposure to automation or cloud platforms
