About the role:
* Develop and deliver IT category strategies aligned to organisational objectives and technology roadmaps.
* Conduct market analysis, supply base reviews, and cost modelling to identify opportunities for value generation.
* Establish long‐term sourcing pipelines and continuous improvement plans.
* Lead end‐to‐end strategic sourcing activities including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, negotiations, and contract award.
* Negotiate commercial terms, pricing models (including SaaS and subscription), service levels, and warranties to maximise value and minimise risk.
* Manage key supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive supplier innovation.
* Achieve savings targets by sourcing competitive contracts and by managing vendor contract.
* Collaborate with IT to understand technology needs, upcoming projects, and long‐term architectural plans.
* Provide procurement expertise, market insights, and commercial guidance to stakeholders.
* Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and ROI improvements across the IT spend portfolio.
* Maintain clear and accurate reporting on category spend, budgets, and supplier performance.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract standards, and regulatory obligations.
About you:
* Proven experience in procurement or category management within an IT environment.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Experience managing complex IT categories such as software licensing, cloud, telecommunications, and professional services.
* Develops plans according to stakeholder requirements and Myer context, and effects the key drivers that deliver on the strategic objectives.
* Regularly reviews plans and performance, and revises according to risks or impacts.
* Ability to interpret technical requirements and collaborate with IT stakeholders.
* Builds and maintains positive, productive relationships with each key internal and external stakeholder.
* Strong vendor management and contract management capability.
* Communicates regularly with team members regarding Myer progress and updates.
* Demonstrates courage by taking on tough challenges and leading through change.
