Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum (pro-rata) + superannuation

Mrs Myl's Flavorite is a pastry and dessert business based in Wanneroo, Western Australia, specialising in the preparation of cakes, pastries, and specialty baked products for café service and customer orders. The business is seeking a highly experienced pastry chef for a short-term assignment to assist with developing specialised pastry products and training kitchen staff.
Purpose of the Assignment
The purpose of the assignment is to:
* Introduce specialised pastry preparation and decorative techniques
* Assist in developing new pastry and dessert products
* Train kitchen staff in pastry production and presentation standards
* Establish standardised pastry recipes and production procedures
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
* Demonstrate advanced pastry preparation and baking techniques
* Develop cakes, pastries and plated desserts
* Design decorative cakes and chocolate showpieces
* Train kitchen staff in pastry preparation and finishing techniques
* Assist in developing dessert menu items and pastry offerings
* Provide guidance on pastry kitchen workflow and quality control
* Support the improvement of pastry production systems
Skills and Experience Required
Applicants should have:
* Significant experience working as a Pastry Chef in commercial kitchens
* Demonstrated expertise in cake decoration, pastry production and dessert presentation
* Experience in training or mentoring kitchen staff
* Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
* Ability to introduce new pastry techniques and production methods
