Your role
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Developing and applying complex analytical methods to massive data sets in order to manage risk and search for alpha for clients.
* Creating and improving internal applications used by the firm to execute investment strategies, manage risk and support the clients.
* Building tools and platforms to help portfolio managers leverage, and analyze test data while harnessing and applying advances in big data analytics.
* Streamlining trade floor processes, trade executions and transaction costs, and identifying new technologies to improve business value.
* This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, making it ideal for those who can bridge the gap between IT and business operations at PIMCO
About you
You are eligible to apply if you:
* Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a similar major with an expected graduation date of December 2025 – June 2026
* Have a minimum or are on track to attain a 2:1
* Are fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
You’ll excel as a Technology Analyst if you:
* Possess strong programming skills, such as Python, Java, or C#
* Are skilled in Unix or Cloud technologies
* Show strong problem-solving and project management skills, as well as the desire to take ownership and drive your project toward completion
* Have an interest in the intersection of Finance and Technology
* Possess superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders in teams across the firm, such as Portfolio Management, Client Management, Marketing, HR, Legal & Compliance
* Have the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

* If you pass the HackerRank challenge, you’ll showcase your interests, skills, and personality by completing a one-way video interview.
* If selected to move forward, you'll meet with the team during final-round interviews conducted live via video conference. Interviews typically consist of behavioural and technical concepts, as well as coding via HackerRank CodePair.
