About the Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, the Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for:
* Providing strong clinical and operational leadership within the unit
* Ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical governance
* Leading, mentoring, and developing nursing and support staff
* Workforce planning, rostering, WHPPD management, and performance oversight
* Supporting accreditation readiness and compliance with NSQHS Standards
* Managing budgets, consumables, and efficient resource utilisation
* Overseeing incident management, risk mitigation, and quality improvement initiatives
* Fostering a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Proven experience as a Nurse Unit Manager or senior nursing leader
* Postgraduate qualification in nursing, leadership, or management (desirable)
* Strong understanding of private hospital operations and funding models
* Demonstrated knowledge of NSQHS Standards and accreditation requirements
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* The ability to lead change, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement
