Clinical Nurse Consultant Role
Job Overview and Responsibilities
This position involves specialising in metastatic breast care within a multidisciplinary cancer care team. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing information, education and support to patients with metastatic breast cancer.
* Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of care plans and patient education initiatives in breast cancer nursing.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* A current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse.
* A minimum of five years full-time equivalent post-qualification experience, with at least three years in breast cancer nursing, and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues across various mediums.
* The ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice using evidence-based research.
* Experience in strategic and clinical service planning, including organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
* Skills in clinical teaching and the development of specialty education programs, with competency in contemporary information systems.
* Clinical expertise in patient-centred consultancy, with the ability to work independently.
This is a temporary part-time position. You will be required to have a current NSW driver's licence and be willing to use it as required for the role.
