Client Manager
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Tax/Management Accountant – Client Manager to join our Gild Accounting team. If you’re passionate about delivering great service, love working directly with clients, and thrive in a collaborative, flexible environment, we want to hear from you.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role where you’ll manage your own portfolio, build lasting client relationships, and provide end‑to‑end accounting and tax support across a diverse client base.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and CPA or CA qualified
- 10 years of relevant experience within Australian Public Practice
- Confident managing your own client portfolio independently
- Solid business acumen with a knack for creative problem solving
- Highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities
- Self‑motivated with a continuous learning mindset
- Strong communicator with excellent relationship‑building skills
- Tech‑savvy and adaptable to new systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software (Xero & FYI docs experience preferred)
The Role
As a Tax/Management Accountant – Client Manager, you will take full ownership of your client portfolio and deliver a wide range of tax and accounting services. Working closely with the Partner and broader team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring clients receive timely, high‑quality support and advice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own client portfolio end‑to‑end
- Preparing annual financial statements and income tax returns
- Conducting tax planning and forecasting
- Advising clients on business structuring, tax, and accounting issues
- Building strong, long‑term relationships with clients and acting as their go‑to advisor
- Maintaining compliance and ensuring deadlines are met
