About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced
Nurse Unit Manager
to lead the
Surgicentre (Day Surgery Unit)
within their Perioperative Services team. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Perioperative Services, you will play a pivotal role in supporting organisational objectives, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
This is a
full-time, Monday to Friday position
, with the option of a
9-day fortnight
for improved work-life balance. While the Surgicentre is a standalone day surgery service, the Nurse Unit Manager may occasionally be required to support theatres at the main hospital campus.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the Surgicentre to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
Maintain high clinical standards within the day surgery unit.
Provide strong clinical leadership, mentoring, and team support.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance performance across the unit.
About You
Current
AHPRA registration
as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of
3 years post-graduate experience
within public and/or private healthcare.
Demonstrated
leadership or management experience
in a clinical setting.
Strong communication and organisational skills with a collaborative leadership style.
