About the Role
We're seeking an experienced
Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Advisor
to lead the development, coordination and implementation of our safety and wellbeing strategies. In this role, you'll support a proactive safety culture, ensure legislative compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of the organisation.
You'll work collaboratively with managers, staff, volunteers, Health & Safety Representatives and external stakeholders to make meaningful impact—every day.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
* Lead the resolution of HSW issues and liaise with WorkSafe as required.
* Deliver specialist advice to managers, staff and contractors on all HSW matters.
* Monitor incident reporting, investigate incidents, identify system gaps, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
* Develop, review and maintain HSW policies, procedures and Safe Work Method Statements.
* Manage employee health monitoring programs, ergonomic assessments and first aid resources.
* Oversee WorkCover claims, Return to Work Plans and annual insurance renewals.
HSW Operational Risk Management
* Identify, assess and mitigate HSW risks across operations.
* Conduct safety audits, maintain the risk register and drive system improvements.
* Prepare and present HSW performance data, trends and risk reports to leadership and audit committees.
* Support business continuity planning activities.
Safety Culture, Leadership & Capability
* Coach and empower leaders to foster a positive safety culture.
* Develop and coordinate HSW training, including induction and emergency response programs.
* Manage HSW communication channels to keep staff informed and engaged.
What We're Looking For
* Strong working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
* Experience in incident investigation, risk management and safety systems.
* Ability to build trusted relationships and influence at all levels.
* A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong communication skills.
