Clinical Leadership Opportunities – Aged Care

Nurseline is partnering with respected residential aged care providers to recruit experienced clinical leaders for current and upcoming senior roles across Tasmania.

These opportunities suit clinicians who are passionate about quality care, clinical governance and regulatory excellence, and aspire to grow.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following roles:

* Clinical Nurse Consultant
* Clinical Compliance Officer

Applicants may apply for one role or indicate interest in both, depending on experience and career direction.

Clinical Nurse Consultant

This role focuses on clinical oversight, leadership and hands-on support within residential aged care settings. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of resident care while supporting nursing teams and clinical systems.

Key responsibilities may include:

* Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff through ongoing education and mentoring.
* Oversee and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high‑quality service delivery and resident care.
* Lead and implement infection prevention and control initiatives.
* Conduct clinical audits, manage Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) reporting, and ensure timely compliance follow‑up.
* Support clinical governance, quality improvement activities, and accreditation processes.

This role is ideal for an experienced aged care RN who enjoys balancing clinical presence with governance and leadership responsibilities.

Clinical Compliance Officer

This role is responsible for clinical compliance, quality systems and continuous improvement, ensuring services meet the requirements of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Act.

Key responsibilities may include:

* Lead clinical compliance activities, provide governance oversight, and act as the primary liaison with regulators.
* Develop, implement, and review organisational policies, procedures, and clinical auditing frameworks.
* Drive continuous quality improvement planning, including the management and monitoring of quality registers.
* Oversee risk management processes, conduct incident investigations, and ensure effective Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) oversight.
* Coordinate audit and accreditation preparation, monitoring, and ongoing compliance activities.
* Prepare and deliver clinical performance reports to senior leadership and governing boards.

This role suits clinicians with a strong interest in systems, compliance and organisational improvement.

About You

Across both roles, we are seeking candidates who bring:

* Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse)
* Minimum 5 years post-registration experience in aged care
* Strong understanding of aged care legislation, standards and accreditation
* Proven experience in auditing, quality improvement and/or clinical governance
* Excellent communication, leadership and analytical skills
* A collaborative, trauma-informed and resident-centred approach
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

Management, quality or governance qualifications are highly regarded.
