The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing tailored curricula for non-native speakers, using language acquisition theories and pedagogical practices to drive student learning.
Key responsibilities include contributing to curriculum design, teaching strategies, and assessment practices; fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in language teaching; teaching French classes across various year levels; ensuring the French curriculum meets Australian Curriculum standards; developing initiatives to encourage students' interest in the French language and culture; collaborating with other teachers and department heads; organising extracurricular activities; communicating effectively with parents, guardians, and the school community; and ensuring compliance with all school policies and health and safety regulations.
Requirements include a valid Working with Children Check, participation in ongoing professional development, and availability to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events beyond regular teaching hours.
