They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant, with a minimum of 5 years' experience working with Australian businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of end-to-end financial processes, particularly Order to General Ledger, and will contribute to the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage the Order to GL process, ensuring accurate recording of revenue and related transactions. Prepare, review, and post general journals in accordance with accounting standards and internal controls. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving variances promptly. Support month-end and year-end closing processes including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications. Assist in the calculation and posting of attributable profit and other management accounting entries. Collaborate with local and offshore teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Maintain proper documentation to support all GL entries and reconciliations. Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit queries alongside the Finance Manager. Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to standardisation and efficiency efforts. Support auditors requests. Responsibility of BAS Reporting. Overview and management of offshore AR and AP teams. Overview of Employee Expenses. General banking. Key Competencies & Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and reporting requirements. Proficiency in the Order to GL process and its impact on financial reporting. Strong knowledge of balance sheet components and ability to explain movements and balances. Proven experience preparing and posting general journals with proper backup and review. Familiarity with calculating attributable profit and cost allocations. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to data integrity. Qualified accountant, minimum CPA qualification or higher. Skills: Exceptional attention to detail - accuracy and precision in financial work is essential. Ability to work in line with Australian working hours. Experience with attributable profit calculations or cost allocations. High level of accountability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Advanced Excel skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to deal with Customer and Staff queries with a solution mindset. Technical Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) or similar ERP systems desirable. Knowledge and understanding of Australian Taxation Standards Ability to overview Payroll, including Payroll Tax and Superannuation Prior experience working with offshore/onshore teams.
