An exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to guide, advise and lead the health economics efforts for DELIVER, through working with a range of health services across Western Victoria. The Research Fellow will work with a range of partners and health services to provide evaluation expertise on projects to improve healthcare for older adults.

DELIVER is funded by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) and the project will identify and build a suite of programs to improve and extend in-home healthcare. DELIVER is led by Western Alliance, a collaborative of 12-member organisations across the Barwon/Southwest and Grampians regions of western Victoria in partnership with healthcare consumers, regional and rural health services, universities and primary healthcare providers across western Victoria.
Responsibilities
The DELIVER Research Fellow – Health Economics will initiate, conduct and contribute to research in the areas of health economics and evaluation health services research. The role will work within a multidisciplinary team alongside colleagues on the DELIVER (Delivering Enhanced healthcare at home through optimising Virtual tools for older people in Rural and regional Australia) research project.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Undertake research in the field health economics and evaluation in health services research as part of the DELIVER project
2. Assist with capacity building in health economic and evaluation across DELIVER partners
3. Remain up to date with current literature and methods relevant to this research program
4. Develop research protocols and ethics applications
5. Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data
Key selection criteria for this role:
Qualifications and experience
6. PhD complete or nearing completion, or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline
7. A research track record in health economics and evaluation
8. A demonstrated ability to plan, initiate and conduct high quality health research
9. Experience in partnership or collaboration with health services to successfully conduct research
10. A record of peer reviewed publications, conference papers, reports or professional or technical contributions, which give evidence of research ability
11. Familiarity with health economics and evaluation frameworks
12. Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods
13. Demonstrated skills in the coordination of data collection and analysis
14. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
15. Relevant experience working in the health sector
