The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a highly active financials transactions and special situations practice in Perth, operating as part of a broader integrated banking and finance platform. You will align closely with a Global leader recognised for complex, cross-border mandates across Australia, Asia, and Europe. The team is engaged on sophisticated matters with access to all jurisdictions due to the one team model, regularly advising on matters involving Hong Kong, London, and key financial centres.
You'll gain experience across restructuring and turnaround, alongside high value financial transactions and structuring and multilayered debt refinancing.
Work closely with three amazing Counsels that value developing banking and finance lawyers across the spectrum of cross-border activity. Clients will range from major banks, private credit and debt funds, and large corporates across mining, energy, commodities, and infrastructure.

Assist with transaction management, drafting and negotiation, and liaising with clients and counterparties, while further expanding your personal development in complex deal structures. The role offers consistent exposure to high-quality work and the opportunity for advancement both technically and professionally.

About You
* 2–5 years' PQE banking and finance law from a Globally recognised firm
* Experience in debt refinancing, restructuring across distressed and special situations
* Strong academic background with a Bachelor of Laws or equivalent
* Solid drafting skills and attention to detail, with a developing commercial mindset
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking ownership of tasks
