This position will play a key role in providing day-to-day payroll support, responding to employee enquiries and assisting with payroll processing and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage the payroll inbox, responding to employee and manager enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Handle basic payroll queries, including:
* Resetting user login details
* Responding to common payroll and system "how-to" questions
* Triaging and reviewing basic payroll errors and escalating where required
* Follow up with employees and managers regarding missing, incomplete or incorrect timesheets
* Escalate unresolved or complex timesheet issues to the Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Officer
* Assist with onboarding new employees into the payroll system, ensuring accurate data capture from employment agreements
* Support onboarding and data entry in the HRIS
* Assist with checking and validating reports from the external payroll provider
* Support payroll compliance requirements and assist with audits, reporting and data checks
* Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
* Provide general administrative support to the Payroll team as required
About You
* Previous experience in a payroll or payroll support role
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
* Confident communicating with employees and managers
* Comfortable working with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
* A team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and support others
