Duty Manager – Logan City Tavern
Logan City Tavern is a busy, independent, family-owned hotel, and we are currently seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our team.
This is a hands-on role suited to a confident hospitality professional with strong gaming knowledge and proven leadership experience. You will be involved across all areas of the venue, including gaming, bar, TAB and Keno, bistro and functions.
Our gaming room is the backbone of the business, and our retail drive-through is one of the busiest in Queensland. Delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards are essential in this role.
About the Role
As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Tavern, ensuring a safe, compliant and welcoming environment for both patrons and staff. You will lead by example, supervise frontline teams, and ensure service standards are consistently met across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Staff leadership, supervision and performance management
* Patron management and customer service excellence
* Oversight and enforcement of RSA and RSG compliance
* Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally
* Effective use of rostering systems and POS/stock systems
* Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, safety and security requirements
* Maintaining a positive, team-focused workplace culture
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant supervisory or Duty Manager role
* Proven experience leading and managing teams in a high-volume venue
* Strong gaming knowledge and operational understanding
* Sound knowledge of the hotel industry and current hospitality trends
* Ability to multitask and perform under pressure during busy trading periods
* A calm, professional approach to problem-solving
Essential Qualifications
* RMLV and Approved Manager Licence
* Current RSA and RCG
* TAB experience (highly regarded)
Availability
This role requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays, including occasional early morning finishes, on a rotating roster.
