M&T Resources has partnered with a government client to seek an experienced AO5 Project Engagement Officer to be a part of the Customer and Stakeholder Engagement team supporting a portfolio of large, complex projects across the Northern District. The role is based in Townsville and will commence as an initial two-year contract, offering stability and the opportunity to contribute to a long-term program of work.
The Project Engagement Officer will support engagement activities across a broad and geographically dispersed stakeholder group, including community members, local councils, businesses, and other key stakeholders. The role will focus on maintaining clear communication, supporting engagement delivery, and ensuring consistency across project messaging.
Key Responsibilities
4. Support the planning and delivery of stakeholder and community engagement activities
5. Prepare, review, and coordinate clear and accurate communication materials
6. Manage stakeholder enquiries and correspondence in a timely manner
7. Ensure consistency and quality across all engagement and communication outputs
8. Support multiple projects simultaneously and meet competing deadlines
9. Provide additional capacity to support the team and enable focus on strategic priorities
About You
10. Experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, or community engagement roles
11. Background supporting government or large-scale programs is highly regarded
12. Strong written communication and coordination skills
13. Ability to work across multiple projects and stakeholder groups
14. Experience engaging with regionally dispersed stakeholders is desirable
