Occupational Therapist - Cairns, Queensland.
Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time.
This organisation is a provider of allied health care for people living in regional, rural and remote communities.

Working predominantly with NDIS participants they are also growing their role in community based aged care and private clients.
Currently they have a team of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists.
The position will work closely with other team members to contribute to the achievement of the organisation's strategic goals and objectives.
The aim is to provide increased access to comprehensive allied health care, both in person and virtually, and improved health outcomes for people living in rural and remote areas, and First Nations people.
Responsibilities
Engage with clients, their families and carers.
Offer and deliver a high quality and safe allied health service.
Improve access to regular therapy through virtual allied health services, complemented by in-person sessions wherever possible.
Create healthier communities through capacity building within the community.
Provide an integrated and comprehensive in-person and virtual Occupational Therapy service with a focus on cultural context.
Deliver high-quality generalist occupational therapy clinical services, covering a range of clinical conditions, complexities and age groups to clients in regional, rural and remote communities.
Utilise innovative service models, including tele-health, and delegate to allied health assistants where appropriate.
Perform comprehensive, evidence-based functional assessments, providing reports, recommendations, and implementation as required.
Work cooperatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with clients and their families, community groups and other health professionals.
Provide professional clinical supervision, training and delegation to allied health assistants, including those in remote communities via virtual health.
