FinXL is partnering with a prominent institution within the Banking sector for a significant Daily Rate assignment based in Sydney. This is a Hybrid work arrangement.
About the Assignment
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical delivery of a core infrastructure payments migration stream. You'll be instrumental in contributing to the design, planning, and execution of network-related components, ensuring a seamless transition to modernised infrastructure.
Key Deliverables
* Lead the development of low-level network designs, implementation plans, and execution strategies.
* Provide technical advisory support to Project Managers and Solution Designers, ensuring all network-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
* Collaborate with vendors and partner stakeholders to support the successful delivery of the program.
* Manage and facilitate change controls, scheduling, and communications in alignment with ITIL-based change management processes.
* Contribute to the design and implementation of the target network and compute infrastructure.
* Communicate effectively across the program to provide status updates and technical insights.
Skills & Experience
We are seeking a seasoned network consultant with a strong background in:
* Proven expertise in data centre networking, including switching, routing, and Cisco ACI technologies.
* Strong experience with enterprise firewall platforms such as Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
* Hands-on experience with F5 Application Delivery Controllers.
* Familiarity with infrastructure orchestration tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
* Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling.
* Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and change management processes.
