Position Overview
The purpose of the Pool Attendant position is to diligently oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our swimming pools, ensuring that they meet and exceed the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. By maintaining water quality, enforcing safety protocols, and providing impeccable customer service, you will play an integral role in creating a positive and secure environment for patrons of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular patrols to monitor and manage pool users' safety.
· Perform water quality testing and maintenance to ensure compliance with health standards.
· Keep pools clean through vacuuming and regular maintenance.
· Ensure cleanliness of facilities including toilets, change rooms, and common areas.
· Assist with general maintenance tasks associated with the pool's upkeep.
· Implement Council and legislative reporting procedures, including incident reporting.
· Coordinate facility bookings and manage entry fees accurately.
· Secure the facility after operating hours.
· Provide excellent customer service and assist with customer inquiries.
· Ensure compliance with budget constraints and cost-saving measures.

Essential Criteria:
· Valid Class C Driver's License.
· Pool Lifeguard Certificate or willing to obtain.
· Demonstrated experience in pool complex operations, including maintenance, facility management, and customer service.
· Senior First Aid Certificate and Royal Life Saving Society Bronze Medallion or willing to obtain.
· Experience in record-keeping and cash handling.
· Proficiency in computer literacy.
· Understanding of chemical management requirements for pool operations.
· Familiarity with work health and safety principles.
Desirable Criteria:
· Swimming Pool Plant Operator Certificate.
· Supervision or management experience.
· Basic maintenance skills.
· Safe food handling training.
