Senior or Associate Town Planner Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior or Associate Town Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for shaping the future of Adelaide and South Australia through strategic and statutory planning.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Planning and Design Code & PDI Act 2016, as well as experience in development assessment and stakeholder engagement. You will also possess excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including urban residential and mixed-use developments, city-shaping initiatives, and renewable energy and sustainable projects. You will have the chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to creating vibrant, sustainable communities across South Australia and beyond.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in town planning or a related field
* At least 3 years' experience in the South Australian planning system
* Strong knowledge of the Planning and Design Code & PDI Act 2016
* Experience in statutory planning and development assessment
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
