Part-time (Monday to Friday) Position

About the Role:
In this 2IC role, you will support the Service Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the Service in line with company policies and procedures, meeting compliance and operational targets. You will model creativity and innovation, motivate, and lead a team of Educators to create a positive and fun working environment. You will design and implement engaging learning programs, work collaboratively, and provide confident support and motivation within your team. Additionally, you will maintain excellent relationships with families, children, and team members. Our relationships with families and children are of utmost importance, and we strive to make our centre a warm, friendly environment that feels like an extension of home. We aim to support families and children to feel part of our Somerville Cottage family, providing care that complements and extends home life.
What you'll need:
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care
* Minimum 1 year experience in a current Second in Charge role
* Strong knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
* Current Working with Children Check
* First Aid and CPR certificates, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
* Confidence when communicating with all levels of management
* A strong ability to inspire, motivate, and maintain a positive culture within our service
